Privacy policy

Your privacy matters here. We collect as little as we can, we keep it safe, and we never sell it.

This policy explains what we gather when you visit Sweeties Pawprints (sweetiespawprints.com), why we gather it, and the choices you have. By using our shop, you're agreeing to what's written below.

What we collect

When you buy something, we collect your name, email address, billing details, and your order history. Your payment card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

When you subscribe to our letters, we collect your email address and your consent to receive them.

When you simply browse, we collect basic device and usage data through cookies (your browser type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and roughly where in the world you are). This helps us understand how the sanctuary is used and make it gentler to move through.

How we use it

We use your information to deliver your downloads, fulfill your orders, send the emails you asked for, answer your messages, keep the shop secure, and gently improve your experience. That's it.

Analytics and behavioral tools

To understand how visitors use the sanctuary and where it could be clearer, we work with two trusted third-party tools. Both place cookies and may collect data that can count as personal information under privacy laws.

Google Analytics. This shows us anonymous patterns: which pages you visit, how long you stay, the device you're on, and your approximate location. Google processes this data on our behalf and as described in its own policies. You can read the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out across all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Microsoft Clarity. We partner with Microsoft Clarity to see how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. This captures things like mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling, with sensitive content masked, using first and third-party cookies and similar technologies. It helps us spot confusing moments and smooth them out. Microsoft may also use this data in line with its own practices. You can read more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Where the law requires it, we only run these tools after you've agreed through our cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in our footer.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed, only with trusted partners who help us run the sanctuary:

  • Shopify, which powers our store, checkout, and order management.
  • Our payment processor, which handles your transaction safely.
  • Our email tool, which delivers the letters you subscribed to.
  • Google and Microsoft, which provide the analytics tools described above.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files that help the site remember you and work properly. Some are essential for the shop to function. Others, like the analytics and session-recording cookies above, are optional and only set with your consent where required.

You can manage or withdraw consent any time through our cookie settings link, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the shop may not behave as smoothly without them.

Where your data is stored

Some of our partners, including Google and Microsoft, store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. When data moves from the European Union or United Kingdom to the United States, it's protected under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and other lawful safeguards.

Your rights

You're always in control of your own information. You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every message.

If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Our legal basis for analytics is your consent. If you're in California, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it. To use any of these rights, just email us.

How long we keep it

We hold your information only as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Analytics data is kept for a limited period set within each tool, then deleted. After that, we delete what we no longer need.

Children

The sanctuary is made for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared information with us, please write to us and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy now and then as the shop grows. When we do, we'll change the date below. Big changes will be shared with our subscribers.
